Senior citizens above 65 living in the AUDA area can now ride AMTS buses free, and two new routes connect Thaltej Metro Station with Shela and Vadaj with Palasana.

An AMTS free bus pass is now available to senior citizens above 65 who live in the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) area. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the scheme on Saturday, 24 October, along with two new Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) routes and an additional service, DeshGujarat reported.
New routes
- 45/1: Thaltej Metro Station to Shela village (new route)
- 71/2: Vadaj Terminus to Palasana village (new route)
- 503: Adalaj to Kalol Institute College (additional bus)
The Shela route connects to the metro network at Thaltej. The report did not give bus timings or frequency.
Who can get the AMTS free bus pass
Citizens aged above 65 who live within the AUDA area can travel free of charge on AMTS buses, according to the report.
The report did not say how seniors should apply for the pass, which documents are needed, or the date from which it can be used. Lok Samna News will publish these details once AMTS announces them. Readers can also ask at the nearest AMTS pass centre or terminus.
